About Famila
Famila is an Iranian multi-category food brand established in 1384 SH (2005/06). The brand initially entered the market with pasta and gradually expanded its presence across a much broader range of everyday food products. Today, Famila operates as one of Golrang Industrial Group's major household-food brands, with different product categories supported by specialized food-production businesses within the wider group.
Famila's current portfolio spans edible oils, rice, tea, canned foods and tuna, tomato paste, olives, jams, honey, legumes and grains, sauces, condiments and selected packaged dry foods. This breadth has positioned Famila not around a single food category, but around a broader role in everyday household cooking and pantry consumption.
Edible oils have been an important part of the brand's development. Famila entered the oil category in 1388 SH (2009/10) with sunflower, frying, canola and corn oils, later expanding into palm-free frying oil, sesame and olive oils and fortified oil products. At the same time, rice, tea, canned foods, preserves, honey and other pantry staples have broadened the brand's relevance across different household food occasions.
Famila's broad portfolio is supported by a multi-producer model, with specialist food businesses responsible for different categories. This allows the brand to operate across several segments while drawing on category-specific sourcing, production and quality-control capabilities.
From Foodex Iran's perspective, Famila's greatest opportunity is also its central brand-management challenge. A broad umbrella brand spanning oils, rice, tea, canned food, legumes and condiments needs a clear reason for consumers to trust the name across very different categories. If Famila can consistently translate the idea of a dependable household pantry into measurable product quality and a coherent consumer experience, portfolio breadth can become a true brand advantage rather than simple category expansion.
