About Golestan
Golestan is one of Iran's long-established food brands, with its origins dating to 1950 and a specialised tea trading business established in Tehran by Seyed Mohammad Gerami. The operation initially focused on sourcing, packaging and distributing tea, while Golestan Company was formally registered in 1961.
Tea remains one of the strongest elements of the Golestan identity, but the brand has expanded over time across a much broader range of everyday food categories. Rice, legumes, spices and seasonings, saffron, pistachios and nuts, and herbal infusions are among the key product groups that have extended Golestan's presence beyond its original tea business.
One of Golestan's most distinctive characteristics is its ability to expand from a clearly defined expertise in tea into a broad household food portfolio while retaining a strong connection with its original category. Tea continues to function as an anchor for the brand's identity, while its wider portfolio has positioned Golestan across a substantial part of the everyday pantry.
