About Makimah
MAKIMAH is an Iranian processed-meat brand whose branded production began on a pilot scale in 1384 SH (2005/06). The business draws on an earlier background in meat processing and packaging dating to the mid-1990s and has developed around the production of European-inspired sausages, cold cuts and other protein products. MAKIMAH products are currently manufactured by Makian Mah Radin Shargh Co.
Technical development has played an important role in the brand's evolution. The business established cooperation with European food-technology suppliers and specialists during the early 2000s and has incorporated specialized meat-processing equipment and formulations into its production. German meat-processing specialist Werner Balzer has also been associated with production supervision and technical development at MAKIMAH.
The current MAKIMAH portfolio includes handcrafted sausages, hot dogs, cocktail sausages, ham, salami, burgers and roast beef. Its sausage range also includes European-style products such as Frankfurt, Kabanosy, Chorizo and Krakow varieties, alongside cheese-filled and other specialty formulations.
MAKIMAH's principal production operation is located in Toos Industrial Town in Mashhad. The manufacturing complex has expanded in stages, including additional production and cold-storage infrastructure developed in 1398 SH.
MAKIMAH has developed a distinctive identity in Iran's processed-meat market through product variety and its focus on European-style formulations. From Foodex Iran's perspective, reinforcing this specialization with greater transparency around ingredients, production standards and current certifications could further strengthen the brand's positioning.
