About NAZGOL
NAZGOL is an Iranian edible-oil and food-fat brand associated with Modalal Mahidasht Agro-Industrial Complex in Kermanshah Province. The production operation behind the brand developed in the late 1990s, and NAZGOL became one of the commercial names used by the Mahidasht business across Iran's edible-oil market. The brand is part of Modalal Group's food-industry portfolio.
Today, NAZGOL has a particularly strong orientation toward the foodservice and industrial market. Its portfolio includes cooking and frying oils in professional pack formats, solid and semi-solid edible fats, and shortenings designed for bakery, pastry and industrial food applications. Sunflower and other household cooking oils have also been marketed under the NAZGOL name during the brand's history.
NAZGOL's manufacturing base is connected to Modalal's broader edible-oil value chain, which spans oilseed sourcing and cultivation, crushing, refining and packaging. The Mahidasht operation has also developed value-added oilseed products such as food-grade lecithin for industrial applications.
The Mahidasht business has a documented history of international activity, with earlier exports to Iraq, Afghanistan and Central Asian markets. Country-level destinations for current NAZGOL exports, however, require renewed verification before being presented as active markets.
NAZGOL has evolved from a broadly recognized edible-oil name toward a more specialized position in professional and industrial oils and fats. From Foodex Iran's perspective, this B2B expertise can become an even clearer source of differentiation when product applications and technical specifications are communicated consistently to professional buyers.
