About MOHSEN
MOHSEN is an Iranian food brand best known for rice, with a market presence dating back to the late 1990s. The brand became widely recognized in Iran through the import and distribution of long-grain and 1121 basmati rice, with international trade records documenting substantial shipments of rice under the MOHSEN name.
Rice remains at the core of the MOHSEN portfolio, including Indian basmati, Pakistani and selected Iranian varieties. Over time, the brand name has also appeared across complementary pantry categories such as legumes, tea, sugar and other packaged staple foods.
The business structure associated with MOHSEN has evolved over the years. Today, Sadra Gostar Pardisan is listed by the Iranian Rice Importers Association with MOHSEN as its brand and remains active in rice and agricultural commodity sourcing. A separate legal entity, Kesht-o-Sanat Berenj Mohsen, was also incorporated in Tehran in 2020.
MOHSEN remains a recognizable name with a long history in Iran's imported-rice market, although its consumer-facing presence is less prominent than during its peak years. From Foodex Iran's perspective, clearer brand communication and a more transparent presentation of the current portfolio could help reconnect that heritage with today's market.
