Oghab

Oghab Halva is one of Iran's long-established producers of tahini halva and sesame-based foods.

The company's current official history traces its origins to 1944, when founder Seyed Jalil Naseri began producing halva in a small workshop in Tehran.

Over the following decades, the business expanded and its primary manufacturing operation was relocated to Shahriar in 1996–1997. The company's private joint-stock legal entity was formally incorporated in 1999, followed by further development of its production, quality-management, research and laboratory infrastructure.

Oghab's portfolio has grown well beyond traditional tahini halva and now includes tahini, roasted sesame, sesame bars, sesame cream, sesame oil, peanut butter and related products.

Quality control and laboratory operations form an important part of the company's manufacturing structure. Oghab's specialist laboratory has operated since 2009 and provides chemical, microbiological, instrumental, calibration and sensory-analysis capabilities.

The company's principal factory is located in Shahriar, Tehran Province, while its head office is based in Tehran. Oghab Distribution operates as a related company supporting the group's distribution activities.

Oghab Halva also has a documented international export presence. Independent trade records confirm shipments of Oghab-manufactured sesame products to overseas markets.

The business remains family-led and continues to develop new products and brands alongside its established Oghab portfolio.
