About Samira
Samira Macaron is one of Iran's long-established pasta brands. The brand began operations in 1978 through Manta Co., with pasta production forming the core of the business from its earliest years.
Over time, Samira has expanded from conventional spaghetti and shaped pasta into a broader range that includes lasagna, fettuccine, vermicelli, soup noodles, vegetable pasta and other grain-based products. Variety in pasta shapes and formats remains one of the most visible characteristics of the current portfolio.
The brand has also explored product development beyond conventional pasta formats, including vegetable, soy-based and multigrain concepts. This has allowed Samira to diversify its offering while remaining focused on pasta and grain-based foods rather than expanding into unrelated food categories.
Samira continues to participate in food-industry business development beyond the domestic market. Manta Co. has been represented internationally under the Samira Macaron name, including its listing as a spaghetti manufacturer at Gulfood.
From Foodex Iran's perspective, Samira is notable for the continuity of its category focus. After several decades in the market, most of the brand's portfolio development has remained within pasta and closely related grain-based products. This specialization provides a strong foundation for renewing the brand while retaining the category recognition built over its history.
